Setting up your store for the first time

Welcome to Basecomp. This guide walks you through everything you need to do before launching your first raffle — account setup, connecting Stripe, configuring your store, and publishing your first competition.

Step 1 — Verify your email

After registering, check your inbox for a verification email and click the link inside. You will not be able to create raffles until your email is verified.

Step 2 — Complete your store profile

Head to Settings → Store and fill in your store name, description, and contact details. These appear on your public storefront and in customer emails, so make sure they are accurate.

Step 3 — Connect Stripe

Basecomp uses Stripe to process all ticket payments. Go to Settings → Payments and click Connect Stripe. You will be redirected to Stripe to complete their onboarding flow. Once connected, Stripe payouts go directly to your bank account — Basecomp never holds your funds.

Step 4 — Configure your store appearance

Under Settings → Branding, upload your logo, set your brand colours, and choose a theme. Your store URL is your-subdomain.basecomp.io by default. You can connect a custom domain later.

Step 5 — Create your first raffle

Once Stripe is connected, go to Raffles → New Raffle and follow the creation wizard. You will need at least one prize and a ticket price before you can publish.

After completing these steps, your store is ready to take live orders.
