Setting up instant win prizes

Instant wins add excitement to your raffle — customers find out immediately if their ticket is a winner, before the main draw even happens.

How instant wins work

When you configure instant wins, Basecomp pre-selects a set of winning ticket positions using the same cryptographic commitment system used for the main draw. These positions are locked before any tickets go on sale, so they cannot be manipulated after the fact.

When a customer purchases a ticket that lands on a winning position, they see an instant win celebration screen and receive a notification email. The main draw still proceeds as normal for the top prize.

Configuring instant wins

Go to Prizes → Instant Wins tab and click Add Instant Win. Set:

• Prize name — e.g. "£50 Amazon Voucher"
• Quantity — How many of this prize exist across the raffle
• Value — For display and record-keeping

You can add multiple different instant win prizes (e.g. 5 × £50 vouchers and 2 × £100 vouchers). All positions are selected and committed before ticket sales open.

Revealing to customers

Instant wins are revealed automatically at the point of purchase — no manual action required. The winning customer sees a screen immediately after payment confirming their prize, and receives a winner email within minutes.
