Publishing your first raffle

Last updated: Mar 12, 2026 | 1 min read | Getting Started

Before going live, run through this checklist to make sure everything is in order.

Pre-launch checklist

  • Stripe is connected and verified
  • Raffle has a name, description, and featured image
  • At least one prize is configured with a name and value
  • Ticket price is set
  • Total ticket supply is set
  • Draw date is set (or draw type is set to manual)
  • A cryptographic commitment has been generated (this happens automatically when you publish)

Publishing

When you are ready, open your raffle and click Publish in the top-right corner. Basecomp will automatically generate the cryptographic commitment hash at this point — this locks the winning positions before any tickets are sold, which is the core of the FairLock transparency system.

Once published, your raffle appears on your public storefront immediately and customers can begin purchasing tickets.

Editing after publishing

You can still edit the raffle name, description, images, and draw date after publishing. However, you cannot change ticket pricing or the total ticket supply once any tickets have been sold, as this would affect fairness.
